Natural Alexandrite from Sri Lanka. Apple green color in daylight. The daylight photo had to be colored after it was taken – due to the colorchange abilities of Alexandrite it is not possible to get the natural colors on the photo. The camera already sees the rose colorchange in daylight but for the human eye the Alexandrite is still green. On the colored daylight picture the Alexandrite is much too pale. In nature it shows intense darkgreen, comparable with the color of high quality, intense green Tourmaline.
In weak artificial light this Alexandrite shows a colorchange to rose color. The colorchange can be seen in the light of a candle or a lighter. With a weight of 0,90 Carat an already big Alexandrite, additionally it shows high clarity and good fire.
